Deion Burks is on his way to Oklahoma as one of the top wide receivers available in the transfer portal.

Originally a 3-star recruit out of Michigan, Burks began his career with 3 seasons at Purdue. He was a key contributor during the 2023 season, finishing with second-team All-Big Ten honors with the Boilermakers.

On Tuesday, Burks confirmed he was on his way to the Sooners. Burks commits to Oklahoma as a 4-star transfer and the No. 3 WR available in the portal per 247 Sports.

During the 2023 season, Burks recorded 47 catches for 629 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns. He led Purdue in every category before opting to test the transfer portal.

The Sooners are dealing with the departure of starting QB Dillon Gabriel to Oregon. However, Burks should be a key piece for the unit heading into 2024, regardless of who lines up as the starting QB for Oklahoma.
