First and foremost, it seems Gentry Williams has won the cornerback battle and will start Week 1 in the CB2 spot alongside Woodi Washington. Justin Harrington has won the job at the CHEETAH position, with Jaren Kanak at MIKE and Danny Stutsman at WILL linebackers.
On the offensive side of the ball it looks like Andrel Anthony, who transferred from Michigan, will start at wide receiver alongside Jalil Farooq and Drake Stoops.
Perhaps most surprising, Marcus Major and Tawee Walker were named co-starters at RB. The 2 combined to rush for under 300 yards last season in Norman, with Walker totaling just 68. The junior RB transferred from Palomar Junior College and has obviously made an impact with the Sooners in camp.
Oklahoma kicks off its 2023 campaign against Arkansas State at Noon this Saturday. The game will be aired on ESPN.
