Lincoln Riley announces pair of Sooners no longer with the program following alleged armed robbery

Oklahoma’s offensive depth took a hit this week as the Sooners made the decision to part ways with running back Seth McGowan and receiver Trejan Bridges.
This news comes after both players were suspended by the program back in April following an alleged armed robbery involving the two players being accused of stealing marijuana at gunpoint. No charges have been filed against the two players.
Be that as it may, Lincoln Riley announced on Thursday that both players are no longer associated with the program.
“They’re not members of the program anymore and we wish them the very best going forward,” Riley says in the clip below.
McGowan, a four-star signee in the program’s 2020 recruiting class, rushed for 370 yards and three touchdowns during his true freshman season last fall. Bridges, a four-star signee in the program’s 2019 recruiting class, had nine catches for 101 yards and two touchdowns during his two seasons in Norman.
