Bussey is an elite prospect nationally and is bordering on 5-star status. He’s currently ranked as the No. 50 overall player and the No. 4 athlete in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
While there’s plenty of tough competition for Bussey, both Oklahoma and Texas have a strong proximity advantage. Bussey attends Timpson High School in Timpson, Texas.
Oklahoma is currently on a hot streak on the recruiting trail. The Sooners have 6 commitments so far in the class of 2024, 5 of which joined the class within the last month.
Texas is still building out its 2024 class. The Longhorns currently have 3 commitments in their class. The group is led by 4-star athlete Hunter Modden.
