The “Mississippi Made” pitch continues to pay off for Matt Luke and his Ole Miss program as the Rebels added their 13th in-state commitment for the 2019 recruiting cycle late Thursday night with the pledge of Deantre Prince.

The 6-foot-1, 160-pound Charleston, Miss., native is currently rated as a three-star prospect, the No. 35 overall athlete in the nation and Mississippi’s No. 17 overall prospect in the 2019 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. Prince committed to the Rebels over scholarship offers from Georgia, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Michigan and Notre Dame among others.

While Prince plays both sides of the ball for Charleston High School, he projects as a defensive back at the collegiate level. Following this commitment, Ole Miss now has 17 total commitments. The Rebel class ranks 14th nationally and 7th in the SEC for the 2019 recruiting cycle.

Prince announced his commitment with the following message on Twitter:

His caption to his commitment post, “Home is where the heart is” suggests Luke’s “Mississippi Made” message is indeed working on the recruiting trail for Ole Miss.
