The No. 20 Ole Miss Rebels are set to kick off their conference slate on Saturday afternoon, in what they hope will end up being a revenge game against the team that essentially knocked them out of College Football Playoff contention last season, the Kentucky Wildcats.
This is naturally a matchup the Rebs have had circled all offseason long, and the team captains for the early-season test were just announced by the team on their official X account.
Ole Miss will be rolling with a trio of senior leaders as their team captains for the second game of 2025 in defensive lineman Zxavian Harris, wide receiver Harrison Wallace III, and tight end Dae’Quan Wright.
Wright and Wallace both had big games in the Rebels’ week 1 63-7 blowout against the Georgia State Panthers, with Wright catching 4 passes for 78 yards and 1 touchdown, and Wallace snagging 5 passes for 130 yards and 1 touchdown.
Harris also had a very crazy stat line for a defensive tackle, racking up 1 sack, 1 solo tackle, and actually snagging an interception on the day.
Ole Miss will now be looking for all 3 of these senior captains to show out again this afternoon as the Rebels try to move to 2-0 on the year, and pick up their first SEC win of the season in the process.
