Ole Miss and Lane Kiffin have already lost offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby to Oklahoma. Now, it appears they could lose another top coaching staff member.

According to On3 Sports’ Matt Zenitz, Ole Miss head strength and conditioning coordinator Wilson Love has emerged as the Oregon Ducks top target for the same position.

Love’s SEC rich background makes him an attractive candidate for most schools, and for new Oregon head coach Dan Lanning, Georgia’s former defensive coordinator, Love has emerged as his top pick for the job.

Love has been at Ole Miss under Lane Kiffin since he was hired. Before Ole Miss, Love was at FAU under Kiffin, and he was an assistant strength coach at Alabama in 2015-16. That’s where Kiffin first worked with Love. The strength coach also played at Alabama.

Strength coaches are vastly under appreciated. After all, they spend the most time with the players throughout the year. They get a first-hand look at the players even more than the coaching staff.
