Ole Miss made program history on Thursday night with its 17-7 win over Mississippi State.
The Rebels clinched their 2nd-ever 10-win regular season with that Egg Bowl victory. Their first came back in 2021 during Lane Kiffin’s first season with the program.
Including bowl game victories, Ole Miss now has 9 double-digit win seasons in its history. However, the Rebels have never won 11 games in a single season. They’ll have the opportunity to do so in a bowl game later this year.

Ole Miss’ defense was dominant on Thursday night vs. the Bulldogs. Mississippi State managed just one touchdown drive throughout 60 minutes of play. Will Rogers threw for only 207 yards on 39 attempts. As a team, Mississippi State averaged a disappointing 4.5 yards per play.
Offensively, it was running back Quinshon Judkins who carried much of the load. He had 119 yards and 1 touchdown on 28 carries in the win. He also caught 3 passes out of the backfield.
Ole Miss will now turn its attention to the postseason with a 10-2 record. The Rebels are expected to be in the mix for a potential New Year’s Six Bowl game berth, but that won’t be decided until after conference championship games are completed on Dec. 2.
