When Ole Miss landed a commitment from in-state prospect Diwun Black, it had to have been pretty sweet. Not only is he a four-star prospect and one of the top 100 prospects in the nation but he had formerly been committed to Mississippi State. Now, his pledge to play in Oxford looks even better.

Following his weekend participation in the Dallas Regional Nike The Opening camp, Black not only won an invitation to The Opening Finals this summer in Arlington but was named as the camp’s MVP at linebacker.

He’ll now have an opportunity to win national The Opening linebacker MVP when he participates at The Opening Finals in the coming months.

Black is currently the second-highest rated prospect committed to Ole Miss, behind only running back recruit Jerrion Ealy. Ole Miss currently leads the SEC with 13 overall commitments in the 2019 recruiting cycle. The recruiting class is also ranked as one of the 10 best in the nation at the moment.
