Ole Miss has lost a few key defenders this offseason, both to the 2022 NFL Draft and to the transfer portal.

But, on Sunday, one defensive back apparently had second thoughts, pulling his name out of the portal database.

As you can see below, 2021 freshman DB MJ Daniels took to Twitter on Sunday afternoon to reveal he was withdrawing from the portal to remain at Ole Miss:

Daniels, a versatile high school player during his career at George County High School in Mississippi, appeared in 2 games in 2021, recording 2 total tackles.

We’ll see if he can find a bigger role for himself in 2022 and beyond.
