Ole Miss baseball is in a win-or-go-home situation after falling 9-3 to Arizona in Game 1 of the Tucson Super Regional.

The Rebels got off to a strong start, taking a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Arizona pitchers, however, settled in and kept Ole Miss off the board the rest of the night as the Wildcat bats put nine runs on the board.

Ole Miss had the lead until the bottom of the fourth when Arizona’s Tony Bullard hit his second solo homer of the night to tie the game 3-3. The Wildcats added two more in the fifth inning and another run in the sixth to extend the lead to 6-3. After a scoreless seventh, Arizona added three more insurance runs in the bottom of the eighth to make it 9-3.

At the plate, Ole Miss was led by TJ McCants who had 2 RBIs on a 2-for-4 night. Rebels pitcher Derek Diamond allowed four runs in 4+ innings. Reliever Tyler Myers gave up 5 runs in 3.2 innings of work.

Game 2 is set for 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m. CT, airing on ESPN2.
