Ole Miss lands commitment from blue-chip 2027 QB out of New York
Lane Kiffin has never been afraid to search far and wide for his quarterbacks.
From pulling Jaxson Dart out of California to most recently snagging Trinidad Chambliss out of Michigan, Kiffin has found plenty of success in thinking outside-the-box when it comes to recruiting signal-callers.
And the Ole Miss head coach added to that list when he landed a commitment from Class of 2027 4-star Keegan Croucher on Sunday, who is a native of Fonda, New York.
Per Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett’s report, Croucher chose the Rebels over the likes of Penn State and Oregon.
The 6-foot-4 prospect is rated as the No. 2 player in the state of New York for his class by 247 Sports, and he’s also ranked as the No. 12 overall quarterback. While Croucher competes in the state of New York, he actually attends Cheshire Academy in Connecticut.
Croucher becomes the fourth commitment apart of Ole Miss’ 2027 class and is the third out-of-state prospect among the group.
Kiffin & Co. currently claim the No. 10 overall class for 2027 according to 247 Sports, while they rank 20th when it comes to the 2026 cycle. The program has hovered around the 15-20 range since Kiffin arrived in Oxford.
