Ole Miss received some good news Tuesday on the basketball front from 3-star center Malique Ewin.
Ewin announced Tuesday that is committing to Kermit Davis and the Rebels. The 6-10, 220 pounder from Lilburn, Ga., choose the Rebels over Illinois, Florida, Virginia Tech, Alabama, Georgia, and Xavier.
According to 247Sports, Ewin is the No. 135 prospect in the 2022 class:

Ewin explained why he choose Ole Miss (via 247Sports):
“The first visit I went to, it really stood out from the other visits that I went to and it’s a good program that fits what is best for me,” Ewin said.
“The coaches, coach Kermit [Davis] stood out the most and so did his staff and the way they play on the court. I just liked it the most.”
Ewin is the Rebels’ fourth commitment for the 2022 class, along with TJ Caldwell, Robert Cowherd and Nick Krass.
