Ole Miss has added to its 2026 running back room via the transfer portal.

Michigan State transfer Makhi Frazier is taking his talents to Oxford. Frazier reposted a report from On3’s Hayes Fawcett confirming the news.

A McKinney (Texas) High School product, Frazier heads to Ole Miss after 2 seasons at MSU. A 2-year letterwinner, Frazier played in 18 games for the Spartans. He has 2 remaining seasons of eligibility.

As a freshman, Frazier appeared in 9 games. He logged 16 snaps on offense and 58 on special teams. On offense, Frazier rushed 7 times for 21 yards.

Frazier stepped into a bigger role as a sophomore. He was MSU’s leader in carries (116) and rushing yards (520) while playing in 9 games, making 7 starts. He was sidelined in 3 of the final 4 games due to injury. Frazier notched his first 2 career rushing scores this past season.

At Ole Miss, Frazier will be coached by a new-look Rebel staff. Pete Golding has turned to John David Baker as offensive coordinator and Frank Wilson as running backs coach. They replace Charlie Weis Jr. and Kevin Smith, who followed Lane Kiffin to LSU.
