The Rebels are looking to end 2022 on a positive note after a rough finish. Ole Miss opened the 2022 season 7-0, but won just 1 of its last 5 games to finish 8-4. After losing to LSU on Oct. 22, the Rebels bounced back to defeat Texas A&M the following week. Kiffin’s squad dropped its final 3 regular-season games against Alabama, Arkansas and Mississippi State.
Kiffin has taken Ole Miss to bowl games in all 3 seasons as the head coach of the Rebels. The previous 2 trips were to New Year’s bowls (Outback Bowl, Sugar Bowl).
Texas Tech enters the game 7-5, finishing the regular season on a 3-game winning streak.
