The Ole Miss Rebels are off to a slow start on the 2021 recruiting trails, and they got some more bad news on Tuesday.
That’s because Jack Tannehill, a talented 2021 kicker from Oxford, Mississippi, announced he was decommitting from his hometown school.
As you can see below, he announced his decision via Twitter on Tuesday night:
Thank you to all of the Ole Miss coaches that recruited me, especially Coach Luke, Coach Rippon, Coach Peeler, and Coach Chapman. I have decided that it is best for me if I decommit from Ole Miss. My recruitment is 100% open.

Though he hasn’t been rated by the major recruiting services, he was rated a 5-star kicker by Kohl’s Kicking:

Now, the Rebels are down to 6 players in their 2021 class. That class currently ranks No. 86 in the nation and No. 14 (last place) in the SEC, per 247Sports.
