Ole Miss will try to change some bad history on Saturday afternoon when it ventures to Tuscaloosa to take on an Alabama program that has owned the Rebels like it has owned most every other program over the past 15 years or so.
The Rebels’ futility against the Crimson Tide goes way back though, long before Nick Saban arrived in T-Town and started rattling off national championships. Ole Miss is 1-15 in its past 16 games at Alabama going back to 1988, and Saturday provides as chance for the 15th-ranked Rebels to get one back on 13th-ranked Bama, which enters a game outside the top 10 for the 1st time since 2015.

As Lane Kiffin tries to take down his former boss on national TV, the Rebels named the team captains who they hope will help lead them to a rare victory at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Defensive end Cedric Johnson, safety Trey Washington, wide receiver Tre Harris and tight end Cadin Prieskorn were chosen as the quartet of captains who will try to help change that awful Ole Miss history in the state of Alabama.
Harris (knee) and Prieskorn (foot) might have to show their leadership from the sideline though, as both are dealing with injuries that could limit their playing time on Saturday.
