Ole Miss finished the regular season with a 9-3 record after defeating Mississippi State 26-14 in the annual Egg Bowl on Friday night. There is an outside chance that the Rebels could possibly sneak into the College Football Playoff, but they are currently on the outside looking in.
While they will be waiting for a little while on that, the team did get some bad news on Saturday. The Rebels will be losing some depth at the running back position, as RB Rashad Amos will reportedly be entering the transfer portal.
Ole Miss running back Rashad Amos plans to enter the transfer portal, his agent @BNM_777k of Peterson Sports tells @On3sports.
The former South Carolina and Miami (OH) transfer rushed for 1,075 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2023 with the RedHawks.

His agent confirmed the news to ON3 on Saturday, and Amos didn’t have quite the season at Ole Miss he wanted. He was low on the depth chart for the Rebels and finished with only 9 carries for 75 yards.
Amos’s last carry came in the game against Georgia, and he had a season-high 42 yards in a win against Middle Tennessee State on September 7. Amos will have 1 more year of eligibility remaining.
He began his collegiate career at South Carolina, but he had only 20 carries in 2 seasons. Last year, he was at Miami (OH) and had by far his best collegiate season. He finished the year with 1,075 yards and 13 touchdowns.
