Ole Miss suffers decommitment from Texas lineman Lloyd Murray Jr.

Following a flurry of commitments in early April, the momentum Ole Miss captured on the recruiting trail has begun to slow following the conclusion of spring ball in Oxford. Adding to that recent trend, Texas native Lloyd Murray Jr. backed off his pledge to Ole Miss Wednesday morning.

Murray, rated as a three-star prospect by 247Sports Composite Rankings, has taken visits to Alabama and Penn State since his original commitment to the Rebels. He attended Alabama’s spring game last weekend, which may have led to his decision to decommit from Ole Miss.

Ole Miss still has 14 commitments lined up for the 2019 recruiting class, which is the most of any SEC program at this time.
