Ole Miss’ loaded receiving corps is losing another key pass-catcher. Rebels TE Dawson Knox has declared for the NFL Draft.

The junior shared his announcement Saturday morning via his Twitter account. After playing only on special teams as a freshman, Knox saw time at tight end as a sophomore and junior. In the past two seasons he logged 39 catches for 605 yards. He did not record a touchdown during his Ole Miss career.

Knox was an under-the-radar recruit. The Nashville-area (Brentwood, Tenn.) product was listed as a dual-threat quarterback listed at 6-3, 208 pounds (he’s now 6-4, 257) with scholarship offers from Air Force, Austin Peay and Cornell. At tight end, he earned national recognition landing on the Mackey Award watch list in 2018.
