Ole Miss TE Evan Engram leads Pro Football Focus’s tight-end rankings

Ole Miss TE Evan Engram had a great 2016 season, finishing second among all receivers in the SEC in catches (65) and yards (926). He also recorded eight touchdown catches.
In breaking down Engram’s senior season, Pro Football Focus named the Rebel star the best tight end in the Power 5 conferences:

Engram wasn’t named a finalist for the Mackey Award, given annually to the best tight end in college football.
Based on the numbers he put up and with Pro Football Focus’s rankings to bolster his case, it’s looking more and more like the Mackey committee made a big mistake not making Engram a finalist.
