All signs point to Kiffin announcing that he is taking the LSU head coaching job. Kiffin is reportedly seeking to continue to coach the Rebels in the postseason despite leaving Ole Miss for one of its biggest rivals in 2026. College football insider Brett McMurphy reported that Kiffin has threatened to poach from the Ole Miss roster and staff if he is not allowed to coach the Rebels in the College Football Playoff.
FootballScoop also reports that a “huge battle” is brewing over Kiffin and other outgoing coaches’ involvement in the CFP.
