Ole Miss starting offensive lineman Micah Pettus suffered a serious injury in practice Wednesday and isn’t expected to play against Georgia.

Sources told Inside the Rebels that Pettus broke a foot bone at practice and is ruled out for Saturday. Pettus started at right tackle for the Rebels this season.

Pettus was a former 3-star OL out of Harvest (Ala.) James Clemons. The 247Sports Composite ranked him as No. 107 OL in the 2021 class.

Pettus made his way into the starting lineup last season as a redshirt freshman. He played in all 13 games with 9 starts. He has played in every game so far this season.

Pettus is a big blow to the Ole Miss offensive line. The Rebels will be facing their toughest challenge with Georgia up next.

Georgia beat Missouri 30-21 in its last game. Ole Miss beat Texas A&M thanks to missed game-tying field goal as time expired.

Kickoff will be at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
