It’s always loud at Davis Wade Stadium when Mississippi State fans are clanging the cowbells. On Thursday night, it was an extra hostile crowd for the Egg Bowl. Ole Miss, however, managed to quiet that crowd with a 31-21 win.

Ole Miss is now on a 2-game winning streak with both wins coming under second-year head coach Lane Kiffin.
The next game for Kiffin’s squad will be a different kind of bowl. Ole Miss is now 10-2 and ranked No. 9 by the College Football Playoff selection committee. The Rebels will learn their likely New Year’s Six bowl game after conference championship weekend.
