Olivier Nkamhoua likes what he sees early from Indiana State transfer Tyreke Key.
Key, a Tennessee native, is the state high school leader in career points scored while at Clay County high school. He spent 4 years at Indiana State and transferred to Tennessee for his final year.
He’ll be a regular for the Vols this season trying to replace Justin Powell and Victor Bailey Jr, who both transferred from the program last season.
#Vols‘ Olivier Nkamhoua on transfer guard Tyreke Key from Indiana State: “He’s a bucket. A pure-bred bucket.”

Key joins a talented group of shooting guards on the Vols, including Santiago Vescovi and, though he’s a forward on the depth chart, Julian Phillips, who is built like a wing player.
Tennessee basketball should be strong this year with Key’s firepower likely coming off the bench as a 6th or 7th option.
