Bo Scarbrough’s NFL career has gotten off to a very slow start. A seventh-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in this spring’s NFL Draft, the rookie out of Alabama has been on the Jacksonville Jaguars’ practice squad since Oct. 11. That changed Tuesday.
It has been reported that the Seattle Seahawks have picked up Scarbrough, signing him off the Jaguars’ practice squad. The move comes after Seattle lost Rashaad Penny, a first-round pick, suffered a knee injury this past weekend.
In preseason, Scarbrough ran the ball 24 times for 69 yards. The Seahawks staff probably hopes for the bruising back to run like he did over SEC defenses in three seasons at Alabama. Seattle faces Kansas City Sunday at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
