On3 analyst JD PicKell made his prediction for the College Football Playoff Thursday. No better time than right before Week 0 action starts this Saturday, right?
PicKell had one familiar face returning to the final three games of the season in Alabama. The other spots were Clemson, Ohio State and Oklahoma. He had the Crimson Tide over Ohio State in the National Championship game.

It may be very 2018 (minus Notre Dame) of PicKell, but it probably is not far off. The Tigers are likely to be back from the dead in 2022 and and Ohio State is set to be as strong as ever, waiting on revenge against Michigan for last season.
The Sooners are the slight shock in this group. Brent Venables is in his first season with the Sooners, who lose a lot of talent from last year despite the strong quarterback addition in Dillon Gabriel. Mix that with new offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby and his relationship with Gabriel from UCF and the Sooners could be a problem.
Is PicKell far off?
