Opening lines released for New Year’s Six bowl games

Now that the matchups have been released, the opening betting lines are the next item for college football fans to digest going forward.

Texas A&M, set to face North Carolina in the Orange Bowl, has opened as a 5-point favorite, according to Circa Sports, against the Tar Heels and coach Mack Brown. Iowa State opened as a field goal favorite over Oregon in the Fiesta Bowl. Florida is also a field goal margin favored over Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl, and Georgia is an 8-point favorite over Cincinnati in the Peach Bowl.

In the College Football Playoff semifinals, Circa Sports released opening lines that said Alabama is favored by 20 points over Notre Dame, while Clemson is a 7-point favorite over Ohio State.
