Oscar Tshiebwe was the national college basketball player of the year last season, and now he’s back at Kentucky for one more ride.

The big man for the Wildcats is adding another honor to his growing list of accolades, as he was named to the AP’s Preseason All-America Team on Monday.

Tshiebwe is joined by Gonzaga big man Drew Timme, Houston’s Marcus Sasser, North Carolina’s Armando Bacot and Indiana’s Trayce Jackson-Davis on the team.

Tshiebwe was a machine last season, averaging 17.4 points and 15.2 rebounds per game. He also posted 1.6 blocks, 1.8 steals and 1.1 assists per contest.

Kentucky was picked by media members to win the SEC title this year. If the Wildcats accomplish that task, Tshiebwe will be a big reason why.
