Late Saturday night, news broke of a DUI arrest for former Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott.

According to the report, Prescott was taken in by Starkville police for his trangression on Saturday morning, just weeks before he is expected to be selected in the NFL Draft.

Shortly after the news broke on Saturday night, the Oxford, Miss. police department’s Twitter account fired off a now-deleted message that sparked a small internet controversy.

That image of Kermit the Frog sipping tea is used in a popular meme that is typically used to convey a message of “But that’s none of my business.” Some people use these to indirectly draw attention to someone else’s mistakes or shortcomings.

Many people, including Mississippi State fans, took offense to the Tweet from the police department located in the home town of the Ole Miss Rebels.

When they started feeling the heat from the internet,  the department decided to delete the Tweet and send out the following messages:

While that sentiment is nice, some people were not buying the retraction and explanation.
