Legendary Alabama and Green Bay Packers QB Bart Starr has been a mainstay in Green Bay for decades now after helping the Packers win the first two Super Bowls ever played.

Sadly, the two-time Super Bowl MVP and former Crimson Tide standout passed away on Sunday morning.

As you can see below, the Packers announced the news on Twitter. Starr was 85 years old:

Starr won the NFL MVP award in 1966 and his No. 15 jersey is retired by the Packers. He is a Hall of Famer and is also in the Packers’ ring of honor.

He died at his home in Birmingham, Alabama.
