Super Bowl 59 is only a few days away as the Kansas City Chiefs look to complete a historic 3-peat as they take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a rematch of the Super Bowl 2 years ago.
The teams are having their final preparation practices before the big game on Sunday. Philadelphia is in the Super Bowl in part because the Eagles have elite players at nearly every single position on the football field. However, a couple of those star players were limited in practice, according to a report by Pro Football Talk.
Former SEC stars Jalen Carter and DeVonta Smith were limited in Wednesday’s practice, but both were able to do some things in practice. Carter missed the media availability earlier in the day, so the fact he was able to get on the field and practiced in some capacity is a positive for the Eagles. Running back Kenneth Gainwell and Brandon Graham were also both limited in practice.
Both of these players are expected to play barring any major setback, but the team is choosing to be cautious with the players.
Kickoff between the Eagles and the Chiefs will be live on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET on FOX. The game will be played at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
