Texas A&M S Donovan Wilson was ejected from Saturday afternoon’s game against No. 1 Alabama in Tuscaloosa late in the second quarter.

As Wilson was escorted from the field, Alabama fans allegedly started throwing Skoal chewing tobacco cans at the Aggie player.

Photos from the game show a Skoal can on the field to corroborate the story:

Regardless of what Wilson did to get ejected from the game, it’s never OK for fans to pelt a college football player (or any athlete, for that matter) with anything.

Here’s hoping stadium security officers were able to find and eject everyone who threw something at Wilson.
