When it comes to preseason hype, there aren’t many teams that enter the season with higher expectations than the Ole Miss Rebels. The team went 10-2 last year, and the Rebels bring back a ton of talent. With the College Football Playoff expanding to 12 teams this year, there are many people across college football who think this may be the year the Rebels are a Playoff team.
Pat McAfee is one of those people, and he talked about it on College GameDay before the Week 0 game between Florida State and Georgia Tech.

“What about Lane Kiffin this year?” McAfee said. “This feels like the Ole Miss year. Jaxson Dart’s back. This is the year for Ole Miss and Kiffin to do it. Two transfers on the defensive line from Texas A&M and Florida, so they beef up that entire thing. Is this the year for Ole Miss?”
The schedule in the SEC is always a challenge, as the Rebels have home games against Oklahoma and Georgia with a road game against LSU as well.
The Rebels will look to get the season started off on the right track as they host Furman next Saturday at 7 p.m. ET.
