Usually before you hear someone begin a phrase with, “No disrespect, but,” it’s followed by some disrespecting.

That was the case on Thursday morning when SEC Network’s Paul Finebaum gave 10-point underdog Michigan State even more fuel to its fire.

Finebaum said that the Spartans are only among the four teams in the College Football Playoff because another Big Ten team didn’t have the desire necessary to defend its national championship.

Michigan State followed up a 39-38 loss at Nebraska with four straight wins to finish the season, including a 17-14 win at Ohio State as well as a thrilling 16-13 win over Iowa in the Big Ten title game.
