In the first College Football Playoff rankings of the 2020 season, Texas A&M ranked No. 5 and Florida was at No. 6.

However, when SEC Network host Paul Finebaum revealed his top teams on Sunday morning’s SportsCenter, he had a different order.

He said he’d put the Gators at No. 5, behind Alabama, Notre Dame, Clemson and Ohio State. He explained his reasoning:

“I went with Florida over Texas A&M,” he said. “Texas A&M can get some help and get into the Playoff, but Florida can do it on their own. They still have to finish the season with LSU, which shouldn’t be difficult or Tennessee, but if they beat Alabama in the SEC title game, they will be in the Playoff.”

Will the Playoff committee agree with Finebaum this week? Or, will the Aggies hold on to the No. 5 spot? We’ll find out on Tuesday night!
