Despite new odds this week that Ohio State is now the favorite to win the national championship, ESPN commentator Paul Finebaum still has faith that either Georgia or Alabama will become the next champion in college football.

Finebaum and ESPN reporter Heather Dinich discussed their picks for the national champion.

Dinich picked the Buckeyes over both UGA and Alabama. A small betting margin separates Ohio State from Georgia and Bama. During the 2022 season, all 3 of the front runners have had moments where they appear to be beatable. Though as of Week 7, Ohio State is the betting favorite while Georgia is No. 1 in the AP Top 25 poll, and Ohio State is No. 2.

Per the official EPSN Get Up account:

Finebaum admitted that currently the Buckeyes are playing the best between the 3 teams, but that UGA and Bama will continue to get better as the season goes on.

UGA has had 2 games that hurt its image in the national spotlight both against inferior teams by committing numerous turnovers and being unsound on both sides of the ball. Alabama has had its own issues during a tight win against the Texas Longhorns and another close win against Texas A&M with Jalen Milroe committing several turnovers.
