Paul Finebaum is happy to see Hugh Freeze back in the SEC, something he believes was a long time coming.
Finebaum offered his thoughts during his regular Monday appearance on WJOX and “McElroy and Cubelic In the morning” out of Birmingham, Alabama.
“I’m very upbeat and I know it’s really easy on February 27th to say a bunch of things that come October look either silly or smart. But I think from the moment he’s landed on campus, he has handled himself with great ease, and with real smarts, and I think from a recruiting standpoint he’s made a lot of good decisions, from a coaching standpoint bringing people in he’s made a lot of keen decisions and I think Auburn is getting what they thought they needed. That’s an SEC-centric coach, who has been there before, that knows what he’s doing and I expect a good season.”
Finebaum then explained what that is after the Bryan Harsin era.
“I think getting to a reasonable bowl and maybe beating someone you’re not supposed to and that really hasn’t been the case,” he said.
Our guy Paul @Finebaum stopped by @MacandCube to discuss the start of spring practice for @AuburnFootball & why he is optimistic about Hugh Freeze’s first season on the Plains.
