Paul Finebaum points to conference to watch ahead of Tuesday’s Playoff reveal
Paul Finebaum broke down which conference to watch ahead of Tuesday’s College Football Playoff ranking reveal on the Matt Barrie Show Sunday.
There’s no obvious favorite conference to dominate the Playoff, but the B1G will likely have the most team’s near the top on Tuesday. For Finebaum, that is the conference to watch for, even if he hasn’t been that impressed with its members.
“The Big Ten is really where the action is Tuesday night and if you’re right, which you probably are, they’ll value the Big Ten upper echelon,” Finebaum said. “Although count me as not being really that excited by the fact that Ohio State has beaten Penn State and Notre Dame. Notre Dame is looking like a pretty good team right now. I give them that. But the Penn State game at home, so what.”
While he doesn’t think Ohio State has been that impressive so far, he recognizes that the Buckeyes are Michigan are both very strong teams and that’s why the B1G will get recognized more on Tuesday.
“I think it’s because those 2 are so good,” Finebaum said. “Therefor we make believe that the Penn State game and games like that are significant. Penn State’s a good team, but we burry Penn State last week. They still have the same coach and that’s the problem.”
