Paul Finebaum appears on ESPN’s SportsCenter every Sunday morning during the college football season to react to the previous day’s action.

As part of his segment, he also ranks the top 4 teams in the country. And, following Week 6, he has a new squad in his No. 1 spot.

As you can see below, Finebaum ranked Ohio State ahead of a pair of SEC powers this week, with Clemson rounding out the top 4. Here’s what he said about each team:

4. Clemson Tigers: “I’m starting with Clemson at No. 4, and they have played very well. You can make a case for putting them higher, but who are you going to move out? The quarterback play has been fantastic, and it’s been interesting with Brent Venables heading to Oklahoma. I wonder if he regrets that move? The Clemson defense is looking very, very strong as well.”

3. Alabama Crimson Tide: “Alabama taking a fall (to No. 3), and it took an ending that they will be talking about in College Station for a long time. Johnny Manziel, the most legendary Aggie ever, called the end of the game the worst play selection ever. I’m sure Jimbo Fisher won’t be sending him Christmas cards.”

2. Georgia Bulldogs: “At No. 2, Georgia. They looked good, but they were playing Auburn, which is maybe the most listless team in America with Bryan Harsin maybe coaching his last game or two as the Auburn coach.”

1. Ohio State Buckeyes: “At No. 1, yes, welcome, Buckeyes. CJ Stroud and company have just continued to dominate everyone. They continue to dominate.”

Will we see more changes following Week 7? There are plenty of huge matchups on the schedule for next Saturday!
