It’s no secret that going into the Heisman Trophy ceremony Saturday night that Alabama quarterback Bryce Young is a huge favorite.
But there have been other huge favorites in the past like former Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning, who lost the award to Michigan’s Charles Woodson to the shock of many.
Many feel, including ESPN college football analyst Paul Finebaum, that Young will easily win. Finebaum spoke about his Heisman ballot this week on the WNSP-FM 105.5 show “The Opening Kickoff.”
He said this according to AL.com:
“It’s pretty simple really,” Finebaum explained during a radio appearance. “The first two are simple: Bryce Young and Will Anderson. After that, it’s really open for debate.”
The Alabama linebacker, who finished 5th in the Heisman voting, was not invited to New York for the ceremony to the dismay of many.
