Paul Finebaum says Georgia got ‘exposed’ vs. Alabama, but he still has concerns about Crimson Tide

College football analysts are still wrapping their heads around what happened in Atlanta on Saturday.
Alabama dominated Georgia in the SEC Championship Game, 41-24, leaving questions about how good the Bulldogs really are and whether or not the Crimson Tide have been undervalued.
Both teams will get a chance to prove that they’re the best in the country in the College Football Playoff but the result of Saturday’s game will be the source of discussion and debate in the weeks ahead.
That was the case Monday morning on the “McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning” radio show, as guest and college football analyst Paul Finebaum was asked about the Bulldogs and Crimson Tide in light of what he saw in the SEC Championship Game.
“To me, Georgia got exposed on Saturday afternoon,” Finebaum said. “It’s up to Kirby Smart to figure out how to deal with Alabama the next time around.
“Now, having said all that, I still have some doubts about this Alabama football team. I know I’m probably in the minority today, because we watched them through 13 games and clearly that was the best performance. You expect that in the future, but losing (John) Metchie hurt. How does Bryce Young react, being a Heisman winner? That’ll affect him; it’s affected others in the past.”
Alabama, the No. 1 seed in the CFP, will play Cincinnati in the Cotton Bowl, while Georgia faces Michigan in the Orange Bowl. Both games will be played on New Years Eve.
