Paul Finebaum joined KJM Tuesday morning to discuss Alabama moving forward following their loss to Tennessee on Saturday.
The SEC analyst said that Nick Saban’s final sequences, especially on defense, were among the worst he’s ever seen from the tenured coach.
That’s quite the statement. Read it in its entirety here:
“Alabama had won the game several times it looked like, they had a 50-yard field goal to win it at the end,” Finebaum said. “Let’s be honest, Nick Saban’s defense at the end of the game was among his worst coaching series I’ve ever seen.”
Saban has been coaching for a long time. This is his 27th season coaching college football. He’s one of the most successful coaches of all time in that span.
But Alabama just didn’t look like Alabama Saturday.
For one, the Tide left a lot of time on the clock for what is essentially an NFL offense. For another, the defense allowed Tennessee to march down the field for what was a great look at a field goal to win it.
The Tide are now 6-1, looking to right the ship this week against Mississippi State.
