Paul Finebaum reacts to UConn canceling their upcoming college football season

If you missed the big news from Connecticut, the Huskies have canceled their upcoming football season after the program had six upcoming games canceled due to opponents shifting to conference-only schedules for the 2020 season.
It should also be noted that UConn’s football program lost money in 2019, when it obviously wasn’t dealing with a pandemic.
Could UConn’s decision lead to a domino effect in college football?
While Paul Finebaum wasn’t willing to go that far, the SEC Network host did share his take on what UConn’s decision could mean for the rest of college football.
During his most recent appearance on “Get Up” on Wednesday, Finebaum shared his reaction to the news.
“What UConn is going to do, it’s going to tell other programs it’s okay to fold the tent,” Finebaum said on the show. “Whether they are in as bad a shape as UConn or not, we will be talking about more programs saying, ‘You know what? I can’t go with my conference. I’m in a tough part of the country.’ And what’s interesting, the state of Connecticut has come out of the worst of it. It’s not even a hot spot anymore.”
