Paul Finebaum made his regular Sunday appearance on ESPN’s “SportsCenter” and updated his top 4 teams after Week 10 action around college football.

Finebaum ranked them this way:

  1. Georgia
  2. Ohio State
  3. Michigan
  4. Florida State

On the “Rank and file” segment, Finebaum made Washington the next team to be considered.

For Georgia, Finebaum said the Bulldogs don’t win pretty, but win effectively.

“They had a very good opponent yesterday, they’ll have an even better one against Ole Miss this week,” he said.

For the Buckeyes, Finebaum said they “always struggle and always win big. You have to give them credit, they’ve played a very tough schedule and they have some more games to go, including Michigan at the end of the year.”

For Michigan, Finebaum called it a struggle, because the Wolverines may look like the best team in the country, but “at some point, they’re going to have to start playing real teams, and quit playing company industrial league teams on Thursday nights. It’s getting tiresome watching them beat up on a bunch of cream puffs.”

About Florida State, Finebaum said the Seminoles again struggled a bit and then finally put the opponent away. Saturday’s example was Pittsburgh, and the Seminoles have Miami coming next.

“They really have a cake walk maybe to the ACC Championship,” he said.

Finebaum said any team could have been in Washington’s spot, but he chose the Huskies because of how they beat Southern Cal. It could have been Oregon or Alabama, he said.
