National Signing Day is in the books, and Ole Miss is on to 2019.
The Rebels moved on quickly.
In the last 24 hours, Ole Miss added commitments from 3 JUCO recruits to its 2019 class. Shortly after Northwest Mississippi Community College defensive lineman Tariqious Tisdale committed to the Rebels, his teammate followed suit.
Northwest Community College receiver JaVonta Payton announced his verbal commitment to Ole Miss:
I would like to thank god for giving me this opportunity & blessings me with the talent. I am committing to the University Of Mississippi. Thank you Ole Miss coaches, my coaches at Northwest & my parents in believing in me. HOTTY TODDY??. @PeelsJP @CoachMattLuke pic.twitter.com/2KYlVDV57Z

Payton was initially committed to join Ole Miss’ 2017 class, but he instead went the JUCO route. At Northwest Mississippi, the 6-1, 180-pound Nashville, Tennessee native hauled in 44 catches for 509 yards as a true freshman.
With Payton on board, Ole Miss is up to 7 verbal pledges in its 2019 class, which ranks No. 6 in the SEC and No. 14 nationally.
