Peter Burns presents surprising comparison for 2022 Tennessee football

There’s nothing quite like Tennessee football in 2022 — something that one probably would have been surprised to hear a few years or so ago. But the Vols are back and that was made plenty apparent with Saturday’s 52-49 win over visiting Alabama.
Peter Burns of ESPN recently made an interesting comparison between this year’s Tennessee team and the 2019 LSU team. And it’s easy to see some of the similarities, with Hendon Hooker rising in a similar fashion as Joe Burrow and a supporting cast that has some big names within in that are poised to go on and do big things in the NFL.

Are the Vols poised to make a national championship run as they continue to make history? It’s not at all out of the picture at this point about midway through the season.
