Sunday’s Super Bowl will have heavy SEC flavor.

Fans will get to see former Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning and former Auburn quarterback Cam Newton play on the biggest stage in all of sports.

So, naturally, ahead of the big game, which happens to be right around National Signing Day, many are talking about the conference’s two former signal callers going head-to-head. It’s the old school versus the new school, if you will.

Manning took the opportunity this week to sound off on the Southeastern Conference, one he says prepares players for the NFL better than any other conference.

“You should be a great quarterback in the NFL if you were an outstanding quarterback in the best conference in college football, the SEC,” Manning said, via Sporting News. “It’s just a no-brainer. The SEC prepares you better than any other conference. I got it out there. I’m on the record.”
