Former Auburn star RB Kerryon Johnson was a second-round pick of the Detroit Lions in the 2018 NFL Draft.

After a couple of productive seasons in Detroit, Johnson wasn’t used much in 2020 and was waived back in May. The Philadelphia Eagles claimed him off waivers.

However, on Tuesday, the Eagles announced a round of roster cuts, and Johnson was one of the unlucky players to get waived. His waiver came with an injury designation:

Now, Johnson will look to catch on with a new NFL squad prior to the 2021 season, assuming his knee issue is resolved by then. We’ll see where he ends up next.

In 3 pro seasons, Johnson has amassed 1,225 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns, along with 61 catches for 527 yards and 3 scores as a receiver.
