Under Armour All-American, top 50 prospect Phillip Webb announces his college decision
One of the nation’s most coveted prospects in the 2020 recruiting cycle has ended his recruitment as Georgia native Phillip Webb just announced his commitment on Wednesday.
The Lanier High School product is head to LSU to play for Ed Orgeron’s Tigers. Webb picked LSU over finalists Alabama and Florida.
The 6-foot-3, 224-pound Webb ranks as the nation’s No. 42 overall prospect, the No. 4 outside linebacker and Georgia’s No. 6 overall recruit according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. The Tigers currently only have one signee, defensive back Elias Ricks, rated higher than Webb. Although, LSU does hold commitments from two players ranked higher than Webb that have yet to officially sign with the Tigers.
With Webb joining LSU’s 2020 recruiting class, the program now holds commitments from 22 total prospects. The Tigers’ class currently ranks as the nation’s No. 3 overall recruiting class, behind only Clemson and Alabama.
